A day at the beach - a photostory

It was a warm and sunny day. So naturally, my best friend Cerise and I decided to go to the beach. We trudged through the sand, carrying a blanket we had "borrowed" from the 18 inch dolls.

Finally, we found a good spot. Cerise and I dropped the blanket and we began to spread it out.

Once it was done, we flopped onto the blanket and stared out at the beautiful water.

"Let's go test the water," Cerise said.

"Okay," I replied, standing up.

After removing our shoes, we started the long walk down to the water.

"It's warm!" I exclaimed, splashing my feet around in the water.

"Well, it is almost eighty degrees, so I'm not to surprised," Cerise said, giggling.

We hung out for a bit, just chatting and standing in the water.

Then, just as we were heading back to the blanket, Cerise slipped on a rock...

...And fell in the water! "Eee!" she shrieked as she toppled over.

She jumped up and turned around. "Is my butt wet?" she asked.

"Uh, nope!" I answered, suppressing a laugh.

After Cerise dried off at the towel, we built an awesome sandcastle.

Then, I turned into a mermaid!

Too soon, it was time to go. We waved good-bye to the beach, rolled up our towel and left.
