Rosie's spa day

Before school started again, I decided to check out the new spa and salon that had opened across the street from our house. When I headed in the door, I smelled cucumber and lavender. I didn't see any fountains, but I heard the sound of moving water. Instantly relaxed, I walked up to the front desk, where a lady was drinking out of a coconut.

"Hello," she said. "I'm Melanie. Do you have an appointment?"
"Uh, yes. My name is Rosie Maryland, and I have an appointment for 4:00," I replied.
"Alright, let's see..." Melanie said, scanning her computer. "Ah, yes. Here you are. Please take a seat in that couch while I get everything set up."

"Okay, thanks!" I said, sitting down. I hummed a random song that was stuck in my head and looked around the room.

Beside me, I noticed a sign. I hadn't seen that when I came in.

"Okay, I'm ready for you, hun," Melanie called.

I got up and followed Melanie over to the other side of the room.

"Would you like to get your hair done?" she asked, pointing at a salon chair.
"Um, no thanks. I don't think there's much you can do with my hair," I said, pointing to my curls.
"Alright. Follow me for your spa treatment, then."

She led me over to a massage table.

"For your rock massage, you can get changed into this towel robe," Melanie said, handing me a purple garment. "The changing room is right over there."

I opened the door to the changing room and quickly got into the robe.

When I got back, Melanie instructed me to lay down on the massage table, face down.

"I'm going to place some hot rocks on your back, okay?" Melanie informed me.
"Okay," I murmured.

The massage was super relaxing, and ended too quickly.

"Now I'm going to give you an avocado oatmeal facial. Is that okay?"
"Yeah, I mean, yes, thank you," I answered.

She spread the avocado on my face.
"I'm going to leave you to let that soak in. I'll be back in ten minutes," Melanie told me.
As I relaxed, I thought about Molly and felt a little guilty. She would have loved to come along.

Melanie came back and easily peeled the mask off my face.

"Okay, you can go change back into your normal clothes now," Melanie said.

I nodded and headed into the changing room.

"Should I just set this here?" I asked, dangling the robe in the air.
"Yes, hun. That's great."

"Before you go, would you like to buy any of our products?" Melanie said, gesturing to an array of soaps and lotions. "All lotions are twenty five percent off today!"
"Hmm..." I said, observing the products.

"Ooh, what's this?" I asked, picking up a pink bottle.

"That is lavender and camomile lotion. We make it right here at the spa. Would you like to buy it?"

"Hmm..." I opened the bottle and smelled it. It sure did smell good. "Okay! Sure, I'll take this one."

"Great! That will be 12.97."
After I payed, it was time to go.

"Bye! Thank you!" I said, opening the door to leave.
"You're welcome! Enjoy the rest of your day!" Melanie called, waving.

Hi! I hope you enjoyed that photostory! I'm going to post a back to school photostory soon, hopefully this weekend. My school starts tomorrow, so I'm not going to be able to post as much.

Thanks for reading!
