Curvy barbie review!

Hi! I'm super excited because today my curvy Barbie arrived! I ordered her on Monday.
Before I get started, I just want to say how happy I am that Mattel came out with this new line of dolls. I'm a pretty curvy gal myself, and these dolls make me so happy! I mean, I don't mind being curvy, but it's nice for young girls on curvy side to have a doll to look up to and see that all shapes and sizes are beautiful. Okay, on with the review!

Here she is!!

She is doll number 27, Sweetheart Stripes.

After a bit of struggle, I got her out of the box. But the struggle was worth it! I love her!

Her hair is blue and black, which I LOVE! It's so unique!

She has pretty purple sunglasses.

Her eyes are a lovely green color and she has pink lips. The true color of her lips don't show up on camera; they're actually more of a hot pink. Also, you can't really see it in the picture, but she has really cute dimples!

Her shirt is pink at the top. The middle has a sweetheart top with black and white stripes, which is why they call it Sweetheart Stripes. The bottom is this faux leather material.

Her skirt is fitted and that shows off her beautiful curvy hips. The skirt is navy blue and has pink stitching.

Her shoes ARE FLIPPING ADORABLE! Oops, sorry...I got a little too excited.:) But I truly do love her shoes! They're black Mary Jane-ish type shoes, but with a wedge.

Now for the comparison! Here, I compare a standard Barbie with the new curvy Barbie. As you can see, curvy Barbie has a thicker waistline and bigger arms and legs. I'm so impressed with Mattel for the highly realistic proportions!

In this picture, you can see that curvy Barbie has bigger thighs too.

She can share shoes with the standard Barbies.

sorry for the quality

Here she is in her (in progress) room!

Overall, I love the new sizes of Barbies and the message they spread. I give her a 4.5 out of 5 stars. I would give her 5 stars, but I'm not too impressed with the quality of her hair. Oh well, I can overlook that. Well done, Mattel!

Thanks for reading!

(Also, I have no idea what to name her! I'm considering the names Azalea, River, and Zana. Comment below if you have any suggestions!)
